About Dunworth & Associates
Dunworth & Associates was founded in 1975 by Thomas Dunworth Sr. to provide high level fund raising counsel to universities, religious organizations and hospitals in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio community. Since then the firm has served hundreds of clients throughout the United States from our offices in Cleveland, New York and San Francisco.
THOMAS C. DUNWORTH
Mr. Dunworth has been the managing partner of Dunworth & Associates since 1987. In that capacity he has served a wide variety of institutions throughout the country in capital campaigns, personal gift strategies, executive search and board development. From 1999 to 2002 Mr. Dunworth was Vice President for Marketing for Mellon Private Asset Management in San Francisco. He helped high net worth individuals and charitable foundations meet their investment goals. Mr. Dunworth is a highly regarded writer and speaker on topics of interest to board members and development officers such as conducting capital and endowment campaigns, building effective boards, donor acquisition and other topics. He is a frequent speaker at CASE, AFC and other professional forums.
Mr. Dunworth has served as the Chairman of the California State University Maritime Academy Foundation. Other volunteer activities include service on the boards of Mercy Center, the Philharmonic Baroque Orchestra, Noe Valley Chamber Music Series and the Blair Academy Class of ’63 Endowment Committee.
CHRISTOPHER T. DUNWORTH
Christopher T. Dunworth is a Senior Partner in Dunworth & Associates. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in Cinematography and Communications. Prior to joining his family’s business, Chris Dunworth served in senior positions in the non-profit, performing arts and cultural world. His career has been highlighted by a commitment to innovation and community access.
Prior to moving to Cleveland to lead a capital campaign for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum, Chris served as President of the Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing Arts. Prior to Mountain Laurel, he served as President of the New World Symphony in Miami Beach Florida from 1991 to 2001, where his leadership resulted in significant support by national foundations for innovative training and community outreach programs.
Chris began his career as a consultant and senior manager to educational, health care and religious organizations. Throughout his career he has been active in a variety of community activities ranging from chairing Chamber of Commerce committees, advising State and regional Arts Councils to serving in both governance and advisory roles to community organizations ranging from the performing arts to social service agencies and libraries.
Chris and his wife Beth live in the Shaker Square neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio.
PATRICK T. DUNWORTH
Patrick T. Dunworth is a Partner with Dunworth & Associates and has over 30 years experience working in non-profit fundraising and consulting the financial management industry on non-profit related matters. Patrick Dunworth provides for clients of Dunworth & Associates his strong ability to developing capital campaigns, creating annual giving programs, conducting feasibility studies, and lending consultative services to non-profits.
Patrick is a results-oriented manager with superior ability to focus on targeted objectives and bring them to success.
